ABOUT

The International Competition of singers, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Italian singer Franco Corelli, whose centenary is celebrated by the world art community, is a unique project that brings together singers from all over the world, of any age (who have already turned 18) for :
- popularization of opera art;
- integration of Ukrainian art into the European cultural space;
- exchange of artistic practices, creation of permanent international relations of Ukrainian and European representatives of culture.
For the first time, the requirements of the competition combine the performance of Ukrainian and Italian works - Neapolitan and Ukrainian songs, which combine the incredible beauty of the melodies of the two most singing languages in the world - Italian and Ukrainian.
Also for the first time in the program of the international competition master classes, creative meetings and streamlines of outstanding artists, managers, marketers and psychotherapists from the USA, Italy, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Ukraine unite not only history of vocal performance and not only opera problems, but also issues of management, marketing and psychology.
This is the first competition in the world dedicated to the name of Franco Corelli - a competition to honor and preserve the memory of an outstanding tenor, who was called one of the best tenors in the world.
During the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic in the world, the competition will be held online / offline.
Venue - Kyiv, Ukraine
Dates - from December 2021 to April 2022.

Professional opera and chamber singers, students and graduate students of higher music educational institutions, performers who have turned 18 by December 1, 2021 are invited to the competition.
Contestants pay a competitive fee of 70 €, details are specified in the application.
Contestants have the right to freely attend the registered master classes of the online jury members and all events that will be offered online by the competition program.
Contestants must send together with the completed application a program that includes three arias and two songs, in accordance with the rules of the contest rounds:
- on the 1st round are sent videos of the ancient aria of the composer of the 18th century, and an aria from operas by composers of the 19th century. Videos must be up to 10 minutes in total.
- for the second round are sent videos of an expanded aria or scenes from operas by composers of the 19th century, and a Neapolitan song. Video with a total length of 15 minutes.
After the announcement of the finalists of the 2nd round, 7 performers will be admitted to the final round. An international honorary jury evaluates the final online.
One month before the final, on March 8, 2022, the finalists will be announced, who will be invited to compete and listen to off-line live in Kyiv at the October Palace on Franco Corelli's birthday on April 8, 2022. The finalists will perform an aria chosen by the jury, from the three that were presented in the announced program, and a Ukrainian song.

JURY
The honorary international jury invited prominent Ukrainian musicians, performers from Italy, Great Britain, USA, Czech Republic, Moldova. An international honorary jury evaluates all speeches of participants, including the finalists, online.
Access to the free broadcast on-line performances of the finalists will be provided by preliminary registration for the spectators around the world. The broadcast will be carried out using the latest technologies, three screens in the hall, cameras and drones that will live broadcast events occurring outside in the center of Kiev and performances of finalists.

On the 1st round the video performance of the ancient aria of the composer 18 centuries is sent and aria from the composers of the 19th century.

Finalists
One month before the finals, March 8, 2022, the participants of the finals will be announced, which will be invited to the competition and listening of Off-Line live in Kyiv in the October Palace on the birthday of Franco Corelli on April 8, 2022. Finalists will perform arias by choosing a jury, of three, which were presented in the declared program, and the Ukrainian song.
The program is accompanied by the piano. A concertmaster is provided by the organizers of the competition.
Access to free broadcast through the Instagram channel for viewers around the world will be provided with preliminary registration on the site of the competition, as well as on the social networking pages of the competition and its organizers in Ukraine and the world.
